  •   Product Overview
Designed and built on a stable Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) base, HIS is intended for deployment on any JMS compliant integration platform across your enterprise.

    The HIS features include:

    - Transaction Logging / Transaction Management
    - Event Sequencing
    - Exception Handling and Recovery
    - User Audit
    - Process Monitoring

Built and marketed as a stand-alone suite of integration tools, HIS adds value in your integration initiatives by:

    - Enabling faster adoption of SOA
    - Providing out-of-the-box services for development, support, and monitoring
    - Enabling faster time to market of integration solutions
    - Increasing the quality and supportability of the integration solution
    - Leveraging true value of SOA and providing faster ROI
    - Providing complete real-time insight/oversight of business processes and transactions in the business process

HIS provides a wide range of integration services that fits into a broader SOA strategy. Depending on the breadth of actual requirements, HIS has the flexibility to be fully or partially implemented. If your organization plans to implement SOA, Hydus can evaluate what form of HIS you require to ensure you receive the most value from HIS.

  •   Transaction Logger
Integration solutions inherently involve several business users, systems, support groups, and heterogeneous hardware. Diverse participants complicate troubleshooting and recreating the error state. TL/TM reduces the complexity of troubleshooting integration solutions by:

    - Providing an irrevocable history of interactions between systems participating in the solution
    - Providing functionality to re-play these interactions and assisting in recreating the trouble scenario
    - Tracking all interested transactions and storing these transactions
    - Supporting a GUI for configuring a log of the required transactions
    - Supporting search, replay and retrieval of the stored transactions through the GUI

As a central component of Integration Services, TL/TM provides the functionality to store and retrieve any data being shared between any applications/processes that produce and/or consume messages

    Functionality

    - Stores JMS messages
    - Provides search and retrieval of JMS Messages based on key fields or timestamp of the messages
    - Re-plays JMS messages
    - Provides Web GUI for configuring TL/TM and supporting the other functions of TL/TM

    Benefits

    - Reduces complexity of troubleshooting SOA solutions
    - Creates and maintains irrevocable history of all system interactions
    - Provides ability to replay interactions and recreate integration scenarios

  •   Event Sequencer
In a distributed environment, events can be processed concurrently on different servers to scale/improve the performance. The concurrent processing of events could break the order of the events. Sequencer maintains the order of the events to enable concurrent and distributed processing of events on multiple servers. Sequencing Service enforces the temporal relationship between related, yet distributed, events/messages.

    Functionality

    - Integrated sequencer with no coding involved
    - Configurable to meet the specific needs of the integration solution
    - Automated error / exception recovery
    - Search and replay of sequencing pattern for monitoring and control

    Benefits

    - Enables horizontal scaling and distributed processing of integration solutions that process dependant events
    - Assists the integration project teams to focus on the business processing logic rather than event dependencies by enforcing the dependencies between events
    - Enables a consistent way of processing dependant events throughout the enterprise
    - Provides insight into the state of all transactions in the integration process by reporting on the processing-state of the events

  •   Exception Handler
The distributed nature of enterprise solutions involves handling of different types of exceptions involving different business systems and business users. To provide a robust SOA infrastructure, one must implement an error (exception) handling service as part of the fundamental services to handle the exceptions. Error Handling Service (EHS) enables the handling of error/exception functions as a service to all enterprise solutions.

    Functionality

    - Capture exceptions throughout the integration process
    - Provide ability to specify possible resolutions and an interface for users toexecute the resolutions
    - Generate notifications and reports on exceptions and resolutions

EHS also provides features such as notification, escalation, reassignment, and integration with SNMP enabled monitoring software like OpenView, NetCool, and BigBrother to streamline the integration process and make the integration solution and the Enterprise more responsive.

    Benefits

    - Reduces the total cost of each integration project using a common robust solution projects can leverage
    - Assists in streamlining the business processes by providing a consistent mechanism and user interface to the business users for monitoring and resolving business exceptions
    - Supplies a framework and tools support for all enterprise solutions to align with the enterprise monitoring and management strategy
    - Provides a single point for storing and reporting of all exceptions and resolutions throughout the enterprise for all solution components
    - Allows projects to customize business error resolutions to suit their requirements.

  •   Process Monitor
It is often required to track a transaction status or an event through the end-to-end business process. Process Monitor (PM) enables tracking through dynamic reporting on the status of transactions throughout the business process. PM provides a drag-and-drop user interface (UI) for defining the business process to specify which transactions need to be monitored. PM then applies the transaction information stored by the Transaction Manager to the process definition. This results in the exact status of the transactions from an end-to-end process perspective.

    Functionality

    - Real-time information of failed or backlogged transactions
    - Real-time view of the status of the business processes
    - Performance metrics and SLA metrics to assist in continuous process improvements

    Benefits

    - Enables the business users to respond to events in real-time by providing an accurate real-time view of the business process status
    - Reduces the total support costs by providing complete drill down abilities on the transacting data through the business process, to business users and support personnel
    - Assists in continuous process improvement by providing operational metrics
